Ristorante Takada, Singapore

There are lots of pictures here. Each of the three of us chose a three-course set menu. The restaurant gave us amuse bouche of Mushroom Cappuccino in a small cup above. They also bought bread, bruschetta and three slices of Trippa Pizza to the table. All were before we began with our selected appetizer.

Three Appetizers:

Burrito Cheese with Parma Ham and Deep Fried Hamo

Kanpachi (from Tsukiji market) in Carpaccio

My selection was Octopus grilled Zucchini, eggplant, Capsicum Caponata.

Our mains:

Tagliolini Pepperoncino Hokkaido Sea Urchin.

Spaghetti with Prawns,Baby Scallop, Cabbage, in Nori cream sauce.

My pick was Oven Baked Cod Fish with lemon and breadcrumbs.

Then, while waiting for our coffee and desserts, we got these petit fours in a generous selection. Who could resist?

Desserts:

Tiramisu of, who else, but, DH.

Beautiful looking Creme Brulle above and finally, mine was Porched Peach with Gelato.

Busaba Lunch

It was the day after Miss K left for Ashbourne, there were just the two of us in London and million others that we don't know. DH decided that we should eat in Busaba again. It's our third time in four days.  No surprise, DH likes this place SO MUCH. This time, he agreed on ordering dishes that we had not tried before. Mostly.

I had iced ginger tea and DH ordered lemonade to start. DH had been eyeing on Fried Chicken with pandan leaves since he saw a couple of people that ate in our communal table had them on our first meal there, so we had a plate of them too this time.

We also had a salad that we had not tried before, called Yum Sam Som. It was supposed to have blood orange, but I didn't see it there. The salad had pomelo, coconut, red chili, dried shrimp and shallot. The salad was nice and refreshing.

Our crabmeat egg fried rice is below. It was reasonably good. Mild and fair, nothing too exciting about it.

It seemed that we were having a big appetite, so we also ordered Cod Stir Fry, because DH wanted too.   The dish turned out to be fried Cod fish, stir fried with ginger and a few other condiments.  Not bad at all.

Yah, we were stuffed! So stuffed!!

Lunch At Cracco Peck, Milano

Peck is one of the most recommended place to go to and to dine in when you go to Milan. It's located just near Duomo, but we had a hard time finding it because the GPS really messed us up.

We checked out their shop, carrying beautiful meats, goodies, cheeses and everything else that I wish I could buy and take them home with me. The restaurant is upstairs and their food is really superb. This was our first time having a meal there and we truly enjoyed every single bit of everything.

The above is amuse bouche provided by the restaurant.

I had a dish called Piatto Unico Venerdi, which was basically mashed potatoes in the bottom of the plate with Cod fish. I can't remember exactly the description of how the fish was done. But it was really delicious.

My company had Linguine al pesto above. As a side order for sharing, we had spinach.

We were really full but still attempted to  try their desserts and coffee too.  Fabulous!!

Dinner At Kayu Puti, St. Regis Bali

DH and I had dinner at one of the restaurants at our hotel, St. Regis Bali. We had their Cold and Hot Signature Dishes. The amuse bouche served to us was foie grass and it was excellent. Five types of bread for each of us with a few different dips were superb too.

Lunch At Keyaki, Jakarta

Between my landing time in Jakarta and my train ride time, I should have had more than enough time for lunch, visiting the bakery that I used to frequent and waiting for the departure time. But I forgot to factor in the awfulness of the traffic in Jakarta. No matter how skillful the driver that drove the car that I was in and how comfortable the car was, I was already hungry and becoming sicker as we got closer to Sari Pacific Hotel.  I finally arrived at this Japanese restaurant, Keyaki, highly recommended by DH for its Teriyaki Cod. It's no brainer for me, that was what I ordered, Gindara Teriyaki set lunch.

The cod was rather small, or maybe a wee bit too small for a hungry person, but it was done so well, delicious! All together, I paid nearly Rp 300,000 or around S$35.

Patara, London, Again...

Patara Restaurant is one of the few places that DH wanted us to dine it in London. He came here with Miss K and we also came here in our previous visit without the kids and we have been to the one in Singapore a few times.  DH likes the one in Maddox St. much more than the one is Singapore.

We saw a picture of their Lobster Pad Thai on the menu and decided to give it a try. It was not as good as expected, we found Busaba's Pad Thai to be much more delicious.

The four of us also ordered two sets of their set lunch. The appetizers that we selected were Satay and Assorted Dumplings.

The main courses that we had were Cod and Green Curry Chicken, both of which came with steamed rice.

We also tried one of their desserts, I believe it was banana with ice cream. It's not too bad, but it was not too memorable too. Mission accomplished, we did it.
