At The Hershey's Chocolate World
We finally experienced the sweetest place in America, in Hershey, Pennsylvania indeed.
One of the attractions there is Hershey Chocolate World which offers visitors factory tour and 3D movie. At the tour, they show us how they make their chocolate. We are put on the ride (Disney-like). The ride moves through a pretend-factory operation that starts from where the cacao is picked and imported from, through the manufacturing process, to the packaging and at the end, the final product. After the ride, we got some free samples too!! Woo hoo!
We then are led to, of course, the gift shops that sell tons and tons of chocolate they produce and other related products, like bags, cap, t-shirts, jacket, etc..... you name it. They sell practically everything.....
Within the area, they have some food stalls as well. The place was quite full of people.
It was a great Free trip!!

3000 Miles And On
Our dear Ford Explorer.
We were in the car on the way to Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania, when the meter of the car passed 3000 miles. The car has been good and is doing well, so are we. We are tired, maybe the car is too. We spent two nights in Hershey and were on the way to Princeton, New Jersey.
We are right on schedule as we will be heading back to Providence tomorrow to pick up our dear Miss L. We have been on the road for 19 days and still have 11 more days to go. A few hundred miles will be added before we fly to Orlando. Miss P is still in South Africa, having the privilege to teach children over there and learning a very valuable life lesson. The day after tomorrow we will be in New York again and get ready for Florida......
Pack, unpack and repack. We have been doing them so much lately.

Inside Hershey's Store In Chicago
Chicago's Hershey's is one of the popular tourists attractions that is located along the famous Michigan Avenue.

The store was quite packed with people. Not only you can find all sort of Hershey's-produced chocolates, small, big and gigantic ones, you can also find mugs, T-shirts, pillows, pencil cases and many other products.

There's a small bake shop at the end of the shop and the cupcakes displayed on their shelves looked so absolutely sinfully gorgeous!!!! We just love to look at them, take a snap or two of them. Free of charge and free of calories, and sigh.......... ahhhhh.... wishing for a little bite...

Chocolaty Chocolate Cake

I started the day early yesterday, my usual weekday time. It turned out to be a very busy day. Exhausting day, but I got a lot of things done. Towards the end of the day, I stumbled over a box of Betty Crocker's Cake Mix, my last one that I got from the USA trip last July, expiring at the end of the month.

Turned on the oven, in cake mix into the bowl, tossed in eggs, water and oil, did some quick whisking, poured into the baking pans and sent into the oven.

I personally prefer chocolate glaze to frosting. I prefer chocolaty taste to sugary one. But since I won't be eating much of it, I shouldn't, I obliged to the request for frosting. Hershey's recipe for frosting was used.

DH is still away until Friday night, the kids are around and happy with the heavy-duty wicked chocolate cake treat.
