Steel-Cut Oat Breakfast

This is one of my favorite breakfasts, particularly with the presence of pomegranate, caramelized banana and other fruits.

Sweet Potato Breakfast

A simple breakfast with sweet potato which I steamed prior to grilling it. On top of it, I smeared some peanut butter and topped it with some berries. Breakfast was ready.

Breakfast At The Grand Club Lounge

I like it when I travel and am able to put together a healthy breakfast like the ones I could have at home.  We were in Taipei and that's the breakfast that came from three small glasses of muesli that the lounge prepared. I added some sliced bananas and kiwi too, along with granola and some other dried fruit.  That'll do it.

Granola Breakfast

This is from nearly a month ago, how time flies! I had granola with yoghurt, kiwi, papaya, berries and dried figs. That's breakfast.

Steel-Cut Oats Breakfast

It's always nice to be home after a long trip away and to be able to prepare a comfort breakfast on my own again. This one is warm steel-cut oats with bananas, kiwi, dried figs and mixed berries, sprinkled with granola and cocoa nibs.

French Toast

I baked a loaf of Hokkaido milk bread and had a bit of leftover and used a thick slice to make my breakfast. These French toast were drizzled with Wildflower honey and served with kiwi, raspberries and mango with blueberries scattered around the top.

Fresh Fruit Bowl, Breakfast

We had quite a variety of fruit at home and a bowl of them just made my breakfast a healthy and fresh one.

Banana Walnut Muffins

Of course, we got some very ripe bananas at home and we just had to do something about that. This time, we converted that into mini muffins with wholemeal flour and walnuts. With some cut up fresh fruits and a small cup of yoghurt, breakfast was served! Let the day begin!

She Saw These In New Zealand

Try to read those Maori words out loud, the one in BIG YELLOW, the very long one. I gave up after a few syllables. My tongue was twisted. The English version is the gathering place for the war parties of Wahiao.
Interesting isn't it?.

I feel somewhat obligated to put some of the pictures that my little one and her friends took when they went to New Zealand last month. Maybe I should call it guilty feeling! She took many pictures. There are in fact more than 950 pictures to choose from, varying from the cloud, the sky, kangaroos, goats, lamb, pigs, someone's eyes, someone's bag, someone's bald head, someone's iPod and practically plenty of, sorry to say, simply out-of-focus wacky pictures.

Some of the pictures were really good, in the sense that they gave me something new to learn. She went to they places that I have never been too and it is interesting to see them from her point of view. Mind you,I am not talking about her friends' eyes, her friends' bag, and the assistant head.

Definitely, she was having too much fun, along with her friends that used her camera, to take better pictures which she normally does. Here are kiwifruit trees especially for those who never saw them before, like me. And more animals in the farm pictures .......
