Orange Marigolds In Furano

Everyone that comes to Furano in the Summer want to see Lavender field there. It was there when we went yesterday. There were many other colorful flowers in the field too. These orange ones are Marigold. Gorgeous!

When Least Expected....

I like Marigold. They have beautiful flowers that last for a long time and they have many of them. In the recent months, I tried to plant their seeds and had been failing, again and again. I worried me a bit that I got no new Marigold plants to replace the dying ones. Despite the high rate of failure, I kept on trying, but not expecting much. Of course, when I had no expectation, I saw many of them grew. So many new plants are also growing by themselves in the garden. They are still tiny at present, but hopefully they grow into strong plants that give me plenty of gorgeous flowers in the coming months. Hope!

A Different Marigold...

A new and different type of yellow Marigold has blossomed in our garden. I must have gotten this one from the packet of seeds that DH got for me. The flower is larger and it has a very bright vibrant yellow color.

RIP Marigold

We are so close to ending August, I can hardly believe it. So many things happen and time goes so fast. We are soon about of enter the fourth quarter of the year and I am trying hard to stay afloat with everything and so many things happening around me.

Sadly, I had to say goodbye to another marigold plant this morning, after seeing it drying and browning with no hope of recovery. I still have a couple of plants in the garden. I love marigold, they produce so many lovely bright colored flowers that last for many days. It is too bad that I still have not been able to grow many new plants lately. My recent effort so far have merely produced one new plant, right now it is about three inches tall. I guess I have to start planting more seeds again soon and hope that some will grow. Please....

Just So Many...

I was not able to grow as many marigold plants as I wish. Despite my efforts to plant the seeds, I only managed to see some. I still am trying, because I like the flowers so much.

Having said that, with just a few plants that I put in different parts of the garden, we are having so many marigold flowers blossoming, brightening the garden.

Marigold Again...

The last marigold plants that we had, produced zillions flowers. I keep the seeds. There's so much of them. But somehow, replanting them have not produced that many plants as I expected . I grew them in the containers but only have a few luck. So far I probably have a total of maybe ten marigold plants out of hundred seeds that I planted. I have tried many different ways, containers, type of soil, etc, but only one or two will turn up or nothing at all. I have not given up yet and am still trying.

A couple of them have flowered and blossomed. Not bad! I love having them back in the garden again.

More!

There could be more than 100 marigolds popping up in our small garden. I am simply in awe. Goodness!

A Lot More....

More and more marigolds are blooming. Really lovely....... It rained, but wayyyyyy... too little to wet the grounds.

More Marigolds ...

It's really the time for Marigolds these days. The flowers are blooming and give us a very pretty sight.

We had very little amount of rain in the past two days, thankfully we still have water to nourish our plants.

Marigolds ...

Late bloomers, maybe. I planted them around the same time as the sunflowers and now I began to see the flowers blooming. I see people selling marigolds as part of Chinese New Year decorations, but most of what I have seen have bigger flowers, they are of different kind, I believe.
