Beijing Kitchen, Macau

Our first dinner in Macau was in Beijing Kitchen in Grand Hyatt Hotel. We came without reservation, in fact we did not even plan to come to this place for dinner. We wanted to have Beijing duck, but were unable to have it because we did not arrange it ahead of time. On the bright side, we got the opportunity to order other dishes that we never tried before.  The food was good, the service was excellent, we are happy to keep on coming back here.

The first two pictures below are the starters.

The dish below is fried chicken with peanuts and tons of dried chillies.

Braised eggplants

Sea Cucumber with mushroom.

Handmade noodles.

Feast At CJ Palace, Ngee Ann City

This was from earlier last month. It's new year, and we were having lots of companies. We introduced them to the popular Chinese New Year Salad. Lots of people, lots of food, lots of calories and lots of cholesterol.  We even had Beijing duck (no picture) The food and the company, however, were enjoyable. We had a nice evening, but we definitely need to choose healthier dishes.

Lunch At Koyama, Xintiandi

Toyama is a popular Japanese restaurant in Shanghai. The last time we tried to have a meal here, we did not make it because the waiting time was too long. It was lunch time this time and again, we had no reservation, we did not plan to have lunch there. Somehow, we got a shared table for the two of us.  We ordered salmon sashimi, various sushi and something that we never saw before, grilled eggplant.

Revisiting Nanbantei, Tokyo

We went back to have dinner at Nanbantei in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo. I had their dinner set while my three companions chose ala carte.  There were more dishes, but no pictures.

Beijing Kitchen, Grand Hyatt Macau

This is from way back in March. I flew to Hong Kong to join DH and together we went to Macau for a nice weekend full of eating and walking. Yup, still no gambling. One evening, we went to Beijing Kitchen for our favorite Beijing Duck and one more dish, Egg plant, just for the two of us. We also had desserts and by the end of the night, we were so stuffed with good food.
