California Part 2

This is long overdue. California in July is all about hot sun, beautiful blue sky and traffic jam around LA. Palm trees here and there, find them outside Universal Studios.

San Diego was lovely, too bad we only stayed there for two nights and didn't manage to explore much of the city. The children certainly appreciated Sea World, after finding the crowds at Disneyland and its sister park were overwhelming. They had a blast, a different kind blast than the happiest place on earth Disneyland.

We also had a lovely dinner at the fish market nearby.

Madeleines Anyone?

Or this?

California Part 1

Three weeks being there justifies me for writing more than one entry about our Summer trip. Those heat, traffic, the sun and the sun again.... Target and Gap stores everywhere and more Walmart. What a change!

We landed at San Francisco airport in the afternoon after a nice comfortable flight in business class via Seoul. (can't say the same thing about the children, back, back there in the plane....) I was stuffed with nice food, those satays were not too bad. And more food. Ice cream, chocolate, cheese, crackers, fruits.... I was spoiled..... With so little movement, I could easily gain two pounds before arriving to SF. In flight entertainment was not too impressive, I got my own iPod Video, my books, my magazines. I also could use some sleep....Zzzzz

Got our gorgeous black NAVIGATOR, just like the one owned by David Beckham, we headed to Santa Clara. Upon unpacking, we drove to Stanford University, which is about 30 minutes away and then checked out a nearby Target. Love Target, they've got everything we like at good price.

This is Stanford U.

One night in Santa Clara and we were off to Fresno the next morning.
These are the pics of our Fresno accommodation, not too shabby...:

It's Been Eleven Months

It's been eleven months since my last entry. Lots of things have definitely happened, the ups and downs of life, the ups and down of my weight, the growth of the children. both physically and emotionally.

Miles have been travelled, Osaka, Bintan, California and Jakarta. Princess L can add Tioman and Bangkok to that, Princess K can top that with Perth. Princess P?? I am sure she went somewhere without us, my brain is betraying me at the moment. Mr. G can pour in countless trips to and from Jakarta, Phuket, Gold Coast, Sanya, Shenzen, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Macau and likely to be others that don't pop out right now. We were all over the place.....

This is Club Med Ria Bintan, our third visit if I'm not mistaken.

December holiday was very much homey. We had visitors, three visitors from Surabaya that kept us really busy.....

Our First Step In Madrid

Here is the palace in Madrid. We went there on Sunday as most of the shops were closed. It's not too far from El Corte Ingles and Petit Palace Londres...... On the way there, we stopped by at McDonald, (the manager speaks English!!!!) and had some delicous hot cakes with caramel syrup. Yummy......

Cherating In the Spring
