Blueberry Pancakes

I made some mini blueberry pancakes using the leftover batter from previous day and had them eaten with banana and cherries, drizzled with maple syrup and coconut cream. Breakfast!

Toby's Estate, Breakfast

I always wanted to have a cup of coffee at Toby's Estate  and tried their breakfast and one day, a couple of months ago, it happened. Sadly, my experience was not a good one and I lost interest in going back for more. Its cappuccino was ordinary but it had a nice art.

Granola.  What a giant size with unpleasant strawberries and sauce. Croissant was burnt, but served. So hard to cut through. We asked for replacement and it was burnt too, yet served like that's their norm. Not for me.

Choquettes

I love choquettes. So light and so delish with a tad of sweetness. They work so well on good days and bad ones.

Zizzi Ristorante Lunch

I guess, we are comfortable with the food at Zizzi. We have been to their restaurants in Cambridge, Oxford and London and this time we revisited the one in London again. What we ordered also didn't vary that much. But for starter, we tried their Fritto Misto for the first time. We enjoyed this fried little things. Yum.

Not much surprises here, Miss K ordered a vegetarian pizza, DH went for his pasta and I had salad with pan seared salmon. Dessert was Tiramisu. We like Tiramisu. What to do but order one?

Oatmeal With Mixed Fruits

It's the same old oatmeal with different toppings. I had sliced banana, strawberries, blueberries and granola and sprinkled them with almond, sesame seeds, cocoa nibs and cinnamon powder.

Dim Sum at Grand Shanghai

This was from way back in June, I have been behind with posting. It's like being in the olden day of Shanghai. Located by the Singapore river, the restaurant is adjacent to Grand Copthorne Hotel.  The restaurant is quite spacious and decorated ala Shanghai, of course. Without reservation, it has been said that it is hard to get a table. But we came early before lunch time and there was just the two of us, which made it easier to get a table, which was brightly clothed in red!!

We started with Crispy Eel dish as appetiser. Not bad.

We ordered various dumplings and buns and had a couple of mini pumpkin buns for dessert as they look so cute on their menu.

Prego Lunch

From time to time we revisit Prego, mostly for lunch. The whole team minus one went there back in June to celebrate an early Father's day.

We had Calamari Fritti (Fried Calamari) and Parmigiana di Melanzane (Baked Eggplant  Parmigiana) for Anti Pasti.

We had two seared fish dishes, a pasta and risotto. Dessert to share was Tiramisu.

Penne Tartufate (Wild Mushroom, Truffle Cream Sauce)

Risotto Frutti di Mare (Seafood Risotto)

Vegetarian Stuffed Mushroom

We normally make meat filling for our Stuffed Portobello mushroom. But this time, as someone is staying away from meat, we revised the version to vegetarian. For the stuffing I used chopped onion, garlic, carrot, thyme and ricotta cheese.

Wahaca White City, Lunch

Back when we were in London in June, we revisited Mexican eatery in White City to have lunch there. We started with their Guacamole and Tortilla chips while waiting for our meals to arrive.

Miss K ordered Black beans and cheese Quesadilas and Crab Tostadas.

DH had Chicken Quesadillas (below). Nothing much can be seen from outside. They look like Quesadillas. It was a small meal for him, I guess, he was not quite into eating that time.

Finally, I had Grilled Chicken served with green rice and small salad on the side. They looked yummy and they tasted delicious. Good pick!

We also had Coffee and their yummy Churros with Chocolate sauce and a piece of Chocolate tart.  Then, .. off to Westfield to shop!

Oatmeal Breakfast

Just a simple warm oatmeal breakfast that I made with almond milk.  Mind you, what you put on the top make the difference. This time, I had strawberry, blueberries, cherries and dried figs. I also sprinkled them with grated coconut, chia seeds and cacao nibs. Breakfast was ready.
