I love baked oatmeal and berries make it even more delicious. In this, I added grated coconut and pumpkin seeds, the oats were mixed with maple syrup and that brought it to another yummy level.

Sourdough Galette With Blueberries and Peach
Time for galette. Now that I have my own sourdough starter, I made the crust using the sourdough as well. I love the flavor of the crust, it's different than the normal crust that I have. The filling is a mix of blueberries and sliced peaches and the two makes such a wonderful combination.

Garibaldi Brunch
This was from last month when we managed to have four family members in the country and had the time to have a Sunday brunch together.
Garibaldi was someone's pick and I just followed along. It was like a feast, or it was really a feast. There was so much food and they were mostly enjoyable. The meal ended with a tray of desserts.

Stir Fried Spinach Noodles
A long while back, I bought a bag of dry spinach noodles from a supermarket. I took me weeks before I cooked them and it took me more than a couple of weeks to post. Life.
To my surprise, these noodles are delicious. I cooked them with spinach, julienned carrots, sliced red chilies and those yummy prawns.

Egg Breakfast
Having a loaf of Ciabatta helps. Especially when you are in need for easy breakfast in the morning when your time is limited. I grilled my homemade Ciabatta and topped them up with a sunny side up egg that simply seasoned with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and sliced green onion. To make it healthier, i put some greens on the side. Simple.

Chia Pudding
This is still one of my favorite breakfasts. It is easy to prepare and it doesn't require that many ingredients.

When It Hurts
There are days when things don't hurt, but there are also days when things hurt so bad. All you have to do is to hang in there, to think about sunshine and to imagine the rainbow in the sky after the rain subsides. And you keep on dancing along the music with a bright colored lolly in your hand, strolling along a lovely beach. You keep on going, you keep on walking. Until it hurts no more. Because I know, if you hang in there long enough, the pain you feel will go away. I am with you all the way. ╭( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑

Tonkatsu Lunch at Ma Maison
Pork Cutlets, here we come. We made it to a tonkatsu restaurant in Singapore. We tried to beat the crowd by coming early, before 12PM, to Ma Maison in Mandarin Gallery. DH picked a combination of meat and prawn while mine (the picture at the very bottom) was Kurobuta Rosu Katsu (160 gr). Reasonably delicious and would not mind to go back.

“When God Created Mothers"
When the Good Lord was creating
mothers, He was into His sixth day of "overtime" when the angel appeared
and said. "You're doing a lot of fiddling around on this one."
And God said, "Have you read the specs on this order?" She has to be completely washable, but not plastic. Have 180 moveable parts...all replaceable. Run on black coffee and leftovers. Have a lap that disappears when she stands up. A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair. And six pairs of hands."
The angel shook her head slowly and said. "Six pairs of hands.... no way."
It's not the hands that are causing me problems," God remarked, "it's the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have."
That's on the standard model?" asked the angel. God nodded.
One pair that sees through closed doors when she asks, 'What are you kids doing in there?' when she already knows. Another here in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn't but what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say. 'I understand and I love you' without so much as uttering a word."
God," said the angel touching his sleeve gently, "Get some rest tomorrow...."
I can't," said God, "I'm so close to creating something so close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sick...can feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger...and can get a nine year old to stand under a shower."
The angel circled the model of a mother very slowly. "It's too soft," she sighed.
But tough!" said God excitedly. "You can imagine what this mother can do or endure."
Can it think?"
Not only can it think, but it can reason and compromise," said the Creator.
Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek.
There's a leak," she pronounced. "I told You that You were trying to put too much into this model."
It's not a leak," said the Lord, "It's a tear."
What's it for?"
It's for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness, and pride."
You are a genius, " said the angel.
Somberly, God said, "I didn't put it there.”
