First Gelato In Milan

We did not plan to restrain ourselves from having as many Gelato as we could. We had our first Gelato from Savini in Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II, within the vicinity of Duomo. Savini is one of the oldest restaurants in Milan. They have quite a yummy gelato.

District 10!! Dinner

We tried District 10 for dinner to celebrate a birthday last month. We ordered quite a bit and shared some. There's a burger with fries above.

The bread that each of us got was very interesting looking. It was warm and  has a hollow inside with goat cheese as a filling.

We also had pizza Margherita which we could not finish and we took home.

The above is their asparagus dish with truffle.

Chia Pudding Breakfast

It has been more than a month, this was my first attempt on making Chia Pudding. It was really easy, because what I needed to do was to soak the chia seeds in milk overnight and the next morning it was ready for consumption. I also mixed in some oatmeal in the pudding. All I needed to do was to add whatever I wanted on it.
I topped the pudding was dried figs, blueberries, granola. almond and sesame seeds. Lots of toppings. They make the whole thing good!

Duomo, Milan

Duomo is a must-see place in Milan. The Cathedral is big and beautiful. It is always crowded and there are always a lot of people hanging around or taking pictures in the Piazza. Duomo is also surrounded plenty of shops, gelato places and restaurants. There are many more places to explore to different corners of Duomo.

L'Angolo di casa, Milan

We had dinner at this place upon the recommendation of our hotel's Concierge. It's located within minutes on foot from where we stayed and it was good, because we were still exhausted from the traveling time and jetlag.  The food they serve didn't make good-looking pictures but they tasted great. The staff there were also accommodating to my company's special requests.

We had Fritto Misto  as starter. They were a little bit oily but the seafood was so good!

I had Milanese Risotto with Osso Buco. Delish! I enjoyed every bit of it.

DH's tonight's order was his usual Seafood Pasta. I believe it tasted great too.

Lunch At Lime, Parkroyal

Back in Marh, we came to Parkroyal, originally trying to find a good dim sum place, but the only restaurant there, was only Lime.  They offered buffet and ala carte. Buffet won!

I went to the salad place second, after getting some salmon sashimi and a few others from their Japanese food section. I was excited by many varieties of salad they offered, they tasted good too. You can also make your own Cesar Salad. There were plenty of bread and cured meats as well.

I also enjoyed the selection of other dishes, some of which were cooked on the spot per request. Desserts were quite varied too. We left full and were quite pleased, @$58 per person, before GST and service charge. Scroll down for more pictures!

Lady M, Marina Square

We had lunch not far away from where Lady M was located and I proposed to have dessert there. It's our first time sitting down and had a taste of their famous Mille Crêpe cake. We shared a slice, while I had a tall glass of mocha and DH had a cup of cappuccino. We were quite full after having a hearty Japanese meal. The cake has twenty layer of crepes, filled with delicious cream filling in between. Yummy!

Culina Lunch Again

After Miss K visited the dentist, which I perfectly timed to have finished by lunch time, we headed to Dempsey Hill again to find a place for lunch. Sadly, a bit, our best option was Culina again. It was an easy choice for MIss K, she chose Truffled Macaroni and Cheese.

We also had Burrata to share.  It was no-brainer for DH that most of time, picked pasta with Crabmeat (again and again!).

I had salad which doesn't seem to be listed on the menu anymore. It had baby spinach, beets and quinoa with very acidic dressing. I did mention about the unpleasant dressing to the waiter, because it was so hard for me to enjoy the dish. Like in many other restaurants in Singapore, neither apology, nor explanation was offered.
