Coffee At Muji Yurokucho Cafe, Tokyo

We headed to Mitsukoshi Ginza to have an early sushi lunch then walked along Ginza and our eyes caught Loft and Muji stores. We were ready for our afternoon coffee and we knew there is a big Muji cafe there.  The cafe is huge and it was still packed with people and there was a line forming at the entrance. We waited a bit and had our seat. They were still serving lunch when we came, but we had a couple of pastries of coffee. It's quite pleasant.

Asakusa!!

We just have to make a visit to Asakusa each time we come to Tokyo. Not for the famous Sensoji temple, but more for walking along Nakamise, check out the shops and make some little purchases here and there. More importantly for DH is to have Tempura in his favorite restaurant by the entrance, Sansada. Here are tons of pictures in Asakusa.

Tsukiji Aozara Sandaime, Ginza Mitsukoshi

We had sushi lunch in the restaurant that we did not know as it was written in Japanese character. I got the name after google-ing the internet.

It was our third day and we wanted to have sushi for lunch. We went to Mitsubishi in Ginza and searched for one and we got a great one.

Nanbantei, Tokyo

Our hotel in Tokyo was in Roppongi area and the original restaurant of Nanbantei is just 15 minutes away. On foot. The founder is also the chef and we picked our choice. The lovely waiter, who happens to speaks English really well, helped us put together a menu for both of us. He was very kind and helpful. On the wall by the door, there were a couple of pictures of the chef with the former Ambassador of USA to Japan and Hillary Clinton. We were impressed.

No the food-wise. Every single piece was really good. I forgot to take picture of the beef and they were good too. Their menu is different than the ones in Singapore, but they said that they have nothing to do with the Singapore Nanbantei anyway. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It's really the kind of place that I love to go for a meal.

Tenkuni, Shinjuku Takashimaya

It was our day 2 in Tokyo. We arrived in the evening, but DH was unwell and I just had to settle with Joel Robuchon pastries for "dinner" in the hotel. The next day, we all felt fresher and we took train to Shinjuku. First stop after Tokyo Hands, was Takashimaya for lunch.  I had tendon below and DH happily chose Tempura, above. We then began our "mini" adventure in Tokyo.

Crystal Jade Jiang Nan, Vivo City

We had never been here before, but in some way we were hoping that they serve the food that are quite similar to our taste, so we went in for the first time and had lunch. Just the two us and we could not eat too much. We ordered a couple of dishes from their dim sum menu, xiao long bao above and baked buns below. I don't quite get the buns with a slice of butter on top, but I never knew until I tried. They have no fillings and I don't think I would order this again in the future, should I return.

We also had a claypot of vegetables and seafood.

Mezza9 Lunch

This was a while back ago. DH, Miss K and I went to Mezza 9 for lunch. I had a hard time choosing but finally I picked 8-piece Assorted Yakitori, hoping the others could chip in and helped me eat some.  DH had no problem with his selection, it's always Crispy Soon Hook (Marble Goby). The only problem is that the size is always to big for him. The rests of us needed to help.

Miss K has a favorite in this place, just one, it is pan seared salmon with small salad on the side.

Prego Lunch

We revisited Prego a while back, thinking that we had quite a good experience with their food. This time we found the food just alright, they did not really make us feel like going back again. The four of us had these dishes.
