This restaurant is located on the 8th floor of Daimaru, Sapporo, where a lot of restaurants are located. I drafted this post last year and decided to publish it, because we have grown to love tonkatsu so much. The food was delicious and the service was excellent and I would love to revisit the place when I go to Sapporo again.

Sushi At Sapporo Station
We have been to this Sushi place in the corner of huge Sapporo Station many times, but we still do not know the name of the restaurant. We know how to find the place, but we do not remember seeing its English name. Anyway, this is one of DH favorite sushi places in Sapporo.

Sapporo Snow Festival
We went to Sapporo this time, because of its annual Snow Festival. We knew it was going to be very cold and we did not like it, but we had no choice, it is really beyond our control. These are some of the pictures.

Streamer Coffee Stellar Place Sapporo
We do not normally bother so much finding coffee outside the comfort of our house, but when we travel, we do. By we, I meant me. It was really cold outside and we were walking inside the Sapporo station after lunch and decided to find a good place for coffee. We came across Streamer Coffee, a company opened in 2010 by a Japanese well know latte artist. I had their Streamer Latte and DH had their seasonal Latte which was Raspberry mocha latte. Both were really good.

Nana's Green Tea, Sapporo
I love matcha and I always want edto go to this place, but I was always accompanied by people who did not care about matcha and this place tended to be crowded every time we passed by. That afternoon, it happened that we passed by again and the place was rather quite and I had one person with me and he did not mind to go in and had something else but matcha. I got my preferred treat and so did he. All good.

First Lunch In Sapporo, Jinbei
By the time we checked in into our hotel in Sapporo and got organized a bit, it was lunch time. We were hungry, but every place seemed to have long lines of people waiting to get a table. We finally picked a random place that offered chirashi don and had our meal there.

Arriving At Haneda
We landed in Haneda before 6AM and by the time we got out of the aircraft, the sun was rising. Beautifully.
We had to wait for our next flight to Sapporo. The exterior of the plane that was taking us to Sapporo was a Boeing 777-300, painted with lively characters of Pokemon. The headrests were in Pokemon characters as well. Very interesting.

Tempura Lunch in Sapporo
We arrived in Sapporo from Niseko after lunch time. Naturally we were very hungry as we did not have a bite to eat since we left in the morning. For once, we knew ahead of time, way ahead of time, where we (DH) wanted to have lunch. There is this restaurant up on the 8th floor (if I remember correctly) of the Daimaru building in Sapporo station that specilizes in Tempura which DH loves so dearly. We always have a meal or two whenever we visit Sapporo.
Just like before, they did not have any English menu. We picked our meals by matching the display on the window and the price listed on their menu. Genius! DH loves to order extra fish and kakiage. Always. He was now a happier man!

A Pretty Rickshaw...
This pretty rickshaw was seen on the street in Sapporo some three weeks ago, when we were walking around the city.

Sapporo Gelato
It was Summer in Sapporo, and at times, it was quite hot there. So many times we were tempted to get ice cream or something cold. A lot of times, despite wanting them, we had no room in our tummy. Miss K got this Gelato on the cone in Sapporo Factory, one of the shopping places there that used to be a brewery. Yum.

One More Before Leaving...
All of us had Ramen again before leaving Sapporo, we had them at the airport. Chitose Airport has so many shops and restaurants that it feels like being in the shopping mall, more than an airport. You can find many different types of cuisines, mostly Japanese. Many shops sell Hokkaido-produced chocolate and cookies. They also sell fresh produce, crabs and other seafood. There are so many Ramen shops to chose from and they were all packed and most of them had lines outside.

Meet The Japanese Burger!
This restaurant in Sapporo, which name I forgot to pay attention to, as always the case because most of them are in Japanese, was found on 10th floor in ESTA, a shopping mall adjacent to Sapporo Station. Aside from burgers, they had curry dishes and a few others too. Their service was excellent, we love being there. Language was a barrier, but workable. My dish was called Hamburg with demi glace sauce, served with a plate of white rice. It was a great dish, I truly enjoyed it.
