Chia Pudding Breakfast

Chia pudding breakfast does not take much time to prepare, mainly because it is prepared the night before. What I need to do in the morning is chopping up the fruit and topping the pudding with whatever I want. And breakfast is ready. A fresh and healthy one.

Barramundi Dinner

I had a piece of frozen baramundi left and pan-seared it a dinner for myself. The sauce was the leftover from cooking the fish with wholegrain mustard and cream. On the side is Tuscan salad with orange, tomatoes and radish, dressed with balsamic vinegar dressing.

Fresh Fruit Bowl, Breakfast

We had quite a variety of fruit at home and a bowl of them just made my breakfast a healthy and fresh one.

Banana Walnut Muffins

Of course, we got some very ripe bananas at home and we just had to do something about that. This time, we converted that into mini muffins with wholemeal flour and walnuts. With some cut up fresh fruits and a small cup of yoghurt, breakfast was served! Let the day begin!

Dinner @Canele

This was from about two weeks ago. We had dinner at Canele, Paragon, because we got an invite to dine for free for two people. With two more people joined us, in the end, all of us had dinner here. My choice was Scallop Orange Salad above.

DH had Crab Meat Pasta above and Miss P picked Canele's Signature Chicken Cesar, below.

Miss K picked Pasta with Salmon with Pink sauce. The food was okay, but I doubt it will be a place that we will go back to for more. We have other places that we like better.

Iced Orange Cake

I made a plan to bake this cake from weeks ago and finally I had the right time, the ingredients and the willingness at the same time. It's very simple and straightforward, with the amount of sugar was cut by half from the original recipe. It's sweet enough without the extra 100gr of icing sugar on the cake, all I needed was 100 gr of caster sugar, and the rest, just follow the easy recipe.

This Reminds Me....

I like orange juice, provided that they are quite sweet. I like oranges even better, again, they have to be quite sweet. I do not take sourish oranges, I just can't handle them. A couple days ago, I stocked up our fridge with a bottle of orange juice, the one that claims "High In Vitamin C" and yesterday, I found myself some big Sunkist, the ones that I know nearly for sure, that they are sweet.

I have a habit of peeling the orange and leave them in bite-able pieces in the fridge. Then there's used to be someone at home that conveniently ate some or most of them. Occasionally drove me crazy.... But now, my oranges are pretty much left alone as the culprit is thousand miles away from home. Memory!

Mineola Mandarin

I came across these Meineola Mandarin oranges yesterday at the supermarket. I had never seen them around before and decided to get a couple for a them to try. Their unique physical characteristic is the knob-like formation on the stem end.

I have also read that this is a cross between grapefruit and mandarin orange. While some suggested that they are really sweet, the two that I bought just could not fall into that category.
