Steel Cut Oats Breakfast

This is an easy but healthy breakfast that I like to prepare from time to time. I cooked the oats with almond milk and stirred in matcha powder that has been mixed into a tablespoon of water, into the cooked oats. In the bottom of the mug is pomegranate seeds and on top are blueberries, raspberries and finally I sprinkled some grated coconut and mint leaves.

Biscuits/Scones

I normally called them scones. This time, however, I used a recipe from King Arthur Flour and the name of the recipe is biscuits, the way Americans call them. They are essentially the same.

Breakfast At Paul, Jakarta

We had a short trip to Jakarta over the weekend, mostly to attend a wedding. On Sunday morning, we had breakfast at Paul, in Pacific Place.


We had mini croissants, coffee and a cup of yoghurt with berries. Everything was ordinary, but at least we had proper breakfast before a busy day.

Cheese Bread

Occasionally, I bake some cheese bread at home. It's one of those that everyone eats at home. I normally use Hokkaido milk bread or any soft bread recipe. Give each piece a generous amount of grated cheese and they will ooze out when you opens it. So good.
