My Beloved Marble Cake

I still love my marble cake, so much. I made it using the brand new Bavaria Pan that I had for a while on Christmas afternoon. As good as ever....

Breakfast At Common Man Coffee Roaster

We finally had a brunch in this place, a place that quite often, we saw to have a long line of people waiting for the table as if there were a special event inside. Apparently Comman Man is very popular, especially for its Eggs Benedict (above and the very bottom pictures).  We ordered a couple plates of them. The eggs were served with braised ox cheeks and Hollandaise sauce on a piece of sourdough bread. Delicious. $24 before tax and service charge. Not quite a common price!

The brioche French toast above was presented with berries and vanilla ice cream. It was really mouth-watering too. Priced at $18 before the extra charges. Yummy dishes, but a little pricey!

First Pinapple Tarts

Just before Christmas, I made my first ever pineapple tarts at home. The jam was also made from scratch. I must say, they are really good! I am pleased with both the jam and the pastry. Together, they are delicious!

Breakfast At Boneka, St. Regis Bali

It was a buffet breakfast with a nice spread and more that we could order from their menu, including steak and lobster (for breakfast!), various smoothies and drinks. The service from the staff was excellent and we had pleasant time enjoying our breakfast. I wish I had a bigger stomach capacity so that I could have tried more food there.

On Christmas Day

On Christmas day, we had our big feast with the main entree being the turkey. The eight of us only managed to clear half of the turkey breast but we had tons of fun that day. We baked and decorated a red velvet cake and had them after our giant meal. We opened our presents and had so much laugh. A fantastic day to celebrate a joyful day! Have a blessed Christmas everyone!!

PS: We also include our dearest Sriracha for our meal. Yum-my!

Dinner At Kayu Puti, St. Regis Bali

DH and I had dinner at one of the restaurants at our hotel, St. Regis Bali. We had their Cold and Hot Signature Dishes. The amuse bouche served to us was foie grass and it was excellent. Five types of bread for each of us with a few different dips were superb too.

Nusa Dua Beach, Day 1

We arrived in the afternoon in Bali and managed to see some sun before the rain fell later in the afternoon. After having lunch, we headed towards the beach (of the hotel), took a walk and plenty of pictures. The beach was gorgeous and the scenery was beautiful. Here are some of the pictures from that afternoon.

Portobello Mushroom Sandwich

These make truly good meal for sure. The portobello mushrooms were pan grilled first on both sides and then topped with cheese and other fillings before they were baked in the oven. (Credit to Miss K for the above picture!)

The bread was homemade and grilled too. A couple slices of tomatoes in between. Ready to eat!

Cozy St. Regis Room

We got a nice and spacious suite at St. Regis. The view was quite lovely too. When the sky was clear, we were able to see the highest mountain in Bali, Gunung Agung from the balcony.

Lunch At Gourmand Deli, St. Regis Bali

We arrived in Denpasar, Bali around noon time. By the time we got our bag and check into our room, it was already after 2PM and we were very hungry. We got a recommendation to have lunch at one of their dining places, Gourmand Deli. It was very quiet when we were there and ordered what we wanted in no time. A warm round bread with onion topping was offered to us immediately. I love nice warm bread. It was a good bread.

I ordered their "today" special which was Chicken Coq Au Vin, served with mashed potatoes. I like the mashed potatoes more than the chicken. I wish there were more mushroom and less strong taste. The chicken was nice and tender though.

DH had Linguini with Scallops and Alaskan Crab Meat with tomato sauce. He liked his food.

Desserts At Oscar's, Conrad Hotel Singapore

We had a lunch buffet at Oscars last month and they had a very nice selection of desserts there. It's too bad that I always tend to get too full by dessert time and only managed to try a little of this and that.  They also had a wide range of ice cream too and so many more of other goodies that are not in these pictures.
