Four Seasons, London

In between "we should try other place" and "we need to have a bit", we ended up at Four Seasons restaurant in Chinatown London. Again. We tried a different branch nearby in Chinatown if that counts at all as a different restaurant that we tried. We had a platter of soy chicken, barbecue pork and roast pork and a bowl of wanton soup and a bowl of rice. Perfect for cold January night. So good.

Duck & Waffle, London

We went there for the food, the view and all the hypes that we have been reading about. Our reservation happened to be on the day when it was wet and the visibility was poor. The amazing view from the restaurant that people write and talk about was not happening. At some point, the visibility was very poor that we barely able to see the buildings in the vicinity.

The food was a mixed for us, some were good, the others were not for us.

We are happy to have this checked off our bucket list.

Duck & Waffle

Yellowfin tuna,

Rosemary & Garlic Bread

Pork & Apple Corn Dog

Back To Aoki, Lunch

This time the three of us went to Aoki for lunch. We ordered one Omakase lunch and two ala carte dishes plus an extra eggplant dish. We love the sushi and others but can't say the same about the eggplant.

Mazechirashi

Grilled Egg Plant with bean paste

Din Tai Fung, Marina Bay Shoppe

This would be near perfect of what the two of us normally would have when we go to Din Tai Fung. This, again, was an unplanned meal. It started of as an evening walk but ended up with eating. We simply unable to resist temptation. The food is everywhere in this city.

My favorite is their black sesame seeds buns, they are perfect for my liking.

Aoki Omakase Lunch

This was from December last year. It was my first time to Aoki and we tried their Omakase lunch. There were definitely more dishes than I have down below. A couple of them would not be my choice, but sometimes that happens when you chose to have Omakase. Sushi was excellent, fried stuff would not be my pick, neither would soup. Desserts were great!

Anzu At Japan Food Town, Singapore

A while back, we took an evening walk along Orchard rd without planning to have dinner but somehow, of course, we got hungry, because we had not had dinner yet. We ventured to the newly opened Japan Food Town in Wisma Atria and reached a mutual decision to try tonkatsu at Anzu, Ginza. We got a table on the spot, it was not crowded.

I had Gin-Jo Pork Fillet Katsu Set and DH had Fried Shrimp Katsu Set. All were superb and the service was great too. It is definitely a place that we can go back again.

Ah Loy Thai

We always love to eat Thai food and we constantly look for a good place to have Thai food wherever we are. In November last year, we came across Ah Loy Thai. The reviews on the net, in general were very encouraging and we definitely wanted to try. So we did, and we agree to say that this place is not for us. We are glad that we have tried.

Tom Yum Soup

Lemon Grass Chicken Wings

Tonkatsu Tazumura Lunch, Sapporo

This restaurant is located on the 8th floor of Daimaru, Sapporo, where a lot of restaurants are located. I drafted this post last year and decided to publish it, because we have grown to love tonkatsu so much. The food was delicious and the service was excellent and I would love to revisit the place when I go to Sapporo again.

Busaba Oxford Circus, London

This was the only Busaba trip we had during our last trip to London and we had it at different location. It was our first time dining there and I basically let DH have his favorites, the same dishes we always order when we go to any Thai restaurants.  we had Pad Thai, fried wings and Green Curry Chicken with a bowl of rice. Almost always the same.
