I ordered their Vegetarian breakfast which has poached eggs while DH had his pancakes. It was a good breakfast, it's like something that I would have at home.

Burger & Lobster
We did not quite plan to eat here but we saw the place on the way to church and our mass finished after 12PM. It was lunch time.
Just the two of us, we did not really want to have too much lobster for health reason, so we had burger. I am not sure if we get a "better" or worse cholesterol booster, but it was our choice. And we enjoyed our choice, so much.
We shared one burger (above) and one lobster burger (below). They came with lots of chips.

Borough Market, London Trip
It was Lunar New Year's eve and we were in London. Our plan for the day, because it was Friday, was to go to Borough Market. I was told that Friday was one of the best days to go there, because there are more, if not all, shops are open. We came with open mind and hungry stomach. It was exciting as usual.

Honest Burger, London
Thanks to Miss P's recommendation, we went up and down looking for an Honest Burger outlet nearby after failing to get our stomach satisfied eating the pork buns from Bao. This was our second lunch. What can I say but yummmmmmm. ........ Burger was good, chips were great.

Bao, London
I had Bao in my list of places to eat in London and we made it the day before we left London. We tried to get there before 12, because this place is known to be crowded at peak times. The restaurant is small, we knew that. Somehow, despite our effort, we could not make it and we had to queue. So we did, hoping that it wouldn't be too long and promising that if it took too long, we would leave. The wait was not terribly long and we got our seats finally.
We merely wanted to try first, so we order two buns to share, one Classic and one Pork Confit. They all were small. The waiter advised us to order two each, but we did not want to, because we wanted to know how good the food was first. We also ordered scallops, because we wanted to. Actually it's DH that wanted them. They were all just fine for us, not too extraordinary. We were still hungry so we ordered a bowl of Guinea Fowl rice and shared it again. It was just alright too, so we decided to leave. We were still hungry and we decided to have another lunch. Yes. Two lunches again.

Winter Wonderland, London
We wanted to go to Winter Wonderland, which is in Hyde Park, which is just minutes away on foot from our hotel. We wanted to go at night, to see the lights and the beauty of sparkling lights in the dark night. The problem was, we became tired so easily because of jet lag and maybe old age. When the sun went down around 4 PM, our eyes got heavier and our body screamed for the rest badly. Every night, we fell asleep early, 6-7 PM then we woke up around 2AM and struggled to sleep again and normally failed. We were exhausted. We had no energy left. After a few nights, we forced ourselves to stay awake and walked out of the door to Hyde Park. It was dark, it was cold, but we were quite excited to finally be able to "stay up". Yes, we were proud to be able to walk outside at 4:30 PM, kept our eyes opened and took some pictures. It's a victory. Finally. We saw darkness, we saw lights.

Back To Borough Market
We were still trying to adjust our time to London time, we were exhausted most of the time, but we tried to make the best of our time there. Being away from home is good, being far from our routines is needed. It's a break from our regulars and I am a firm believer that everyone needs a break or two after a while. We all need to recharge.
Going to London without visiting Borough, doesn't seem right for me. It has become a ritual, I can't do without. Aside from that, I really wanted to get a Scotch egg there, it had been my plan for many weeks prior to my departure to London. Sadly, the stall that sells the Scotch eggs did not seem to open that day. I went for vegetarian dosa from an Indian stall and had to wait for a long time because the line was long. The food was just alright.
Borough always has great cheeses too. We sampled some and we bought a piece each of Comte and Gouda. They were so delicious.
We walked around and took some pictures. There were so many people and it was not even weekend. It's actually more exciting that there were a lot of people, the atmosphere gets me going, although I hate crowds and I dislike crowded places. But it feels so wrong to go when the place was very quiet.
