16th Avenue Tiled Steps

A while back in June, I spent a few weeks in San Francisco and on one fine day, took a trip to 16th avenue tiled steps. It's a place that was on my bucket list for a while and I was happy to finally made it there. 163 step stairway in Golden Gate Heights neighborhood that is worth visiting, at least once.

16th Avenue Tiled Steps are a set of beautiful mosaic tiles and a wonderful venue to get beautiful scenery of the city. There is another set of steps that to take you further up and get a better view, once you arrive at the top. It's a place called Grandview Park.

A Brief Time In Covent Garden

After lunch at Dishoom, DH and I decided to walk to Covent Garden, it was really near and we wanted to go there anyway.  We had been there many times and there's nothing in particular we wanted to do other than revisiting. And seeing what they did for Christmas. It's too bad that we were there in the afternoon, so the lights were not on. Lights, of course make everything pretty or prettier.

We stopped by briefly at Marks and Spencer there and as we were leaving, we saw a white guy grabbed, a bottle of wine, another and one more and ran off without paying. The alarm went off for a short time and nobody seemed to do anything. We were so stunned and did not know what to do. That's it.

Anyway, here are some pictures from there.

Paris Baguette, Berkeley

We took BART to Berkeley and got off at Downtown Berkeley station and Paris Baguette was the first thing we saw.  While waiting for our event to begin, we had cappuccino and tried a couple of their pastries. It certainly is better than nothing at all, it's nice to have something that we are quite familiar in a place that we visit.

Zizzi Ristorante Lunch

I guess, we are comfortable with the food at Zizzi. We have been to their restaurants in Cambridge, Oxford and London and this time we revisited the one in London again. What we ordered also didn't vary that much. But for starter, we tried their Fritto Misto for the first time. We enjoyed this fried little things. Yum.

Not much surprises here, Miss K ordered a vegetarian pizza, DH went for his pasta and I had salad with pan seared salmon. Dessert was Tiramisu. We like Tiramisu. What to do but order one?

Wahaca White City, Lunch

Back when we were in London in June, we revisited Mexican eatery in White City to have lunch there. We started with their Guacamole and Tortilla chips while waiting for our meals to arrive.

Miss K ordered Black beans and cheese Quesadilas and Crab Tostadas.

DH had Chicken Quesadillas (below). Nothing much can be seen from outside. They look like Quesadillas. It was a small meal for him, I guess, he was not quite into eating that time.

Finally, I had Grilled Chicken served with green rice and small salad on the side. They looked yummy and they tasted delicious. Good pick!

We also had Coffee and their yummy Churros with Chocolate sauce and a piece of Chocolate tart.  Then, .. off to Westfield to shop!
