That Will Be £100

Back in April, I found these in Primark on Oxford Street, each was £20. I wonder how popular these card boards are.....

Yum!

Cheese Martabak makes very tempting pictures. I can't help it, it is also so finger licking good.

Lemonade With Basil Leaves

It was a simple lemonade on a hot sunny day. Wonderful. Throw in some basil leaves because.... because I have tons of them!

Rambutan

I like rambutan but I rarely buy them. These rambutans came from Malaysia. My mother in law has a rambutan tree in her house and DH said, she selected the good ones for us. How nice of her!

A New BFF ...

I didn't plan to like it as much as I do now, I thought I needed something faster that I could take along when I travel. But this little thing is just getting harder to resist. The more time I spend on it, the harder it is for me to stop learning about it. Fast processor, retina display, quite easy to use....

Breakfast At The Lounge

I enjoyed having breakfast at the Grand Hyatt Club Lounge in Macau, they have a very nice spread and some of the selections can be cooked right upon requests, like Fried Noodles or Fried Eggs.

They also offered some dim sum, fresh fruit and fresh juice among many others. My favorite was actually their porridge.

Busaba Eathai, London

Back in April when we were in London, the Concierge of our hotel recommended a Thai restaurant nearby. It was within 10 minutes or so on foot from where we stayed. The place is called Busaba Eathai, located off Oxford St and right behind where Selfridges is. Busaba Eathai has similar seating arrangement like Wagamama, more communal dining style, which is acceptable for us. (We tend to avoid the place when it is crowded anyway.)

When it comes to Thai food (or probably other cuisines too!) we never venture far. Call it boring or staying safe. Whatever. We had Pad Thai and Green Curry Chicken with rice again. ( I know, there are way too many other dishes to try, but we continuously sticking to the same old ones!)

I also had their Lemongrass tea, served with a couple of cookies. Nice.

I look forward to going back there when I return to London. Which is likely to be soon. Like in two weeks. Yay.

Sunset From The Window

This was the view from our hotel room in Hong Kong when we were there a couple of weeks ago. It was quite a stunning view.

Ho Hung Kee - Wonton Noodles

Only after we finished eating at this place, Ho Hung Kee at Hysan Place in Hongkong, we read right outside the restaurant, that it is a one Michelin-star restaurant.

Our trip to Macau and Hongkong this time was so much about food and eating. I was practically full around the clock, but DH kept on wanting to go eat at the places that he loves and this was one of them.I would appreciate the noodles so much more if only I had not been too full when I had them. They are delicious.

Waiting For The Ferry...

We a flight to Hong Kong and went straight to get Turbo Jet at the airport that took us to Macau. It's a convenient arrangement as we did not need to pick out our luggage first. Turbo Jet took care of our bags and we just needed to get them in Macau. It's a short ride of around 50 minutes that is always smooth especially for those who tend to get sea sick rather easily. Like me.

Il Teatro, Macau

A visit to Macau without dining at Il Teatro at Wynn's is just not complete. Considering the significance of it, DH, apparently has asked  a Grand Hyatt staff, where we stayed, to make a reservation for two for the evening we arrived.  With a reservation, we got a nice table overlooking the window with a view of fantastic dancing water and light effects accompanied by different song each time, every 10-15 minutes or so.

The food was great and the service was excellent, we just want to keep on coming back here for more. Til next time.
