I have been playing quite a bit with the new lens that the children got for me on Mother's Day, it's Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. It is lightweight but can produce many great pictures once you are familiar with it. I am getting better at using the lens and liking it more and more. The picture above was taken using that lens, the dish is Thai Chicken with Basil. It may not be the best picture but I kind of like it.
Looks tasty! I have been lusting after a nice macro lens, but I'd have to get a "real" camera first.
