For as long as we can remember, on and off, we have been visiting this Japanese restaurant at Far East Plaza, called Nanbantei. Both DH and I used to come to this place back in 1989 for lunch when we lived and worked in this country. It's a bit a long way from Raffles Place where we our offices were, but it's worth the trip each time.
The restaurant remained open despite ups and down in the industry, reportedly it's been in the business for 24 years long. Not bad at all. It tells a lot of the overall quality of the restaurant. The above is its signature dish, Obento. It is inexpensive at around $12.50++, but it fills our tummy up really well and leaves great taste in our mouth too. This is what we always order when we come here. Good food!
