Marina Bay Sands was officially open on 23 June, more than a week ago. I expected some good quality and exciting fireworks display as I have been shown some sort of teases, days before that. At least, that's what I thought. I waited and waited and what I could see from our place was some laser performances. A lot of things went on at the spot of the opening, but the lights are about the only things visible here.
Pay $20 and you get to enter the public observation deck of the hotel/casino/shopping mall i.e the Sky Park and you get to see Singapore from above. Reportedly so far, tickets to get in had been hard to buy. One had to wait for many hours to get one... We might go, someday ,when it does not require that many hours to buy the tickets. Meanwhile, we'll enjoy the view of Singapore from our side and be content with what we've got.
