Kuih Bahulu


With Chinese New Year approaching in a little over two weeks, all Chinese New Year goodies are all out in force. Kuih Bahulu (with many different ways to spell them!) are out too. These are very simple cake with very few ingredients namely eggs, sugar, flour and some people add baking powder or baking soda, vanilla and melted butter.  I am still doing some trials and errors to find a composition that I love best.  I am not too impressed with this one and looking to try a different recipe next time.
