Marbled!

Bwah! It's 12th of the 12th month! I can't believe how fast the time goes. I got around to make some Marbled Tea Eggs a couple of days ago. They are so good and as always a big plus for me, is the fact that it is easy to make. Just a few ingredients and a few hours of leaving them simmering, they are ready for snacks or meals.

  1. Love tea eggs! When I lived in northeast China, the tea-egg lady would urgently whisper through my keyhole,"Cha dan! Cha Dan!" if I didn't come out right away when she was making her rounds.

    How do you make yours?

  2. Ha..ha...
I will try to put together a recipe for my tea eggs. Basically putting together eggs, water, dark color tea (Earl Grey or something like that!) star anise, sichuan pepper, salt, soy-sauce, and simmering them for many hours.
