It's Moon Cake Time

It's mooncake time again, it's mid-autumn festival time. DH got smaller ones with diameter of around 6cm each instead of the normal 10cm and the plain lotus seed paste filling. Mooncakes tend to be rich and heavy. The truth is only one person likes mooncakes in this house and she doesn't like any yolks or any sort of fancy seeds inside. Just continuing the annual tradition of eating mooncake, I guess.

The mooncake festical this year falls on 14 September, it is the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, when the moon is at its maximum brightness for the entire year. Interesting, isn't it?

  1. Happy Moon Festival! I like the sentiment that on that night, you look up at the moon and know that those you love, even if they are far away, are looking at the same moon.
